“Happiness is a choice that requires effort at times.”

~Aeschylus

Hey There Gorgeous!

Are you ready for the best fall ever?

Here are a few practices to help you clear some space for more joy and fun this fall…hope this inspires you to do something fresh and good for you!

Choose How You Want to Feel

Let your feelings be your guide. Like Abe~Hicks reminds us, “Your life is supposed to feel good to you.” Contemplate, meditate, ponder. Whatever way you like, decide that tuning in to how you feel really matters. Choose which feelings you want to navigate your days and then honor these feelings. Set your intention to schedule your days and your life around the way you want to feel. Give yourself the opportunity each day to focus on your feelings. Soon you will notice when you are in alignment with how you want to feel and when you are a little off course. Over time, you will find that this awareness will help you redirect to joy more easily and more quickly. If you haven’t yet, definitely check out Danielle LaPorte’s The Desire Map {here!} for a powerful opportunity to delve deeply into choosing and living by what Danielle brilliantly names our “core desired feelings.” Empower yourself to make the rest of your life the best of your life.

Simplify: Mind Body and Soul

Mind

Free your mind from the busy~ness that is weighing you down. Try this practice from Marie Forleo to create white space in your mind and make room for more peace and fun in your thoughts. Check out Marie’s 6 minute course in “clearing out overwhelm” right here. When our mind is at ease, we can transform our bodies and our lives. Did you know that most dis~ease in our bodies is the result of stress? For real. It is our duty to ourselves to let our stress go…like every single day. So, make it a practice to free your mind, and let ease be your new norm.

Body

When your body feels good, it’s natural that you’ll feel more ready for whatever fun comes your way. Make a commitment to yourself to choose whole, nourishing foods most of the time. I really appreciate being perfectly imperfect, so I like to implement the 80/20 rule. This way, 80% of the time, I know my family and I are eating healthy foods and the other 20% I allow myself to feel free and easy, letting go of the guilt and worry I used to feel about eating “perfectly” {whatever that means, anyway!}. Check out my friend, Ashley Srokosz’s new Suppertime Sanity free training here. She knows how to create meals that are healthy and tasty, too…and if you want to pick up her week long Suppertime Sanity guide, she even provides a shopping list in addition to the recipes…double score! Check it out here…my fam is loving the meals and I’m so stoked on such yummy and nourishing support. So grateful for people like Ashley who make our lives easier.

Soul

Soothe your soul and remind yourself how it feels to be happy. Give yourself some time in nature and reconnect to what matters most. Listen to the voice calling from within you, guiding you toward that good feeling you desire and deserve. When you practice listening to your own wisdom, your path becomes illuminated. Life is simplified as decisions come naturally, intuitively. If you want a little daily boost in this area, I highly recommend checking out Lissa Rankin’s Daily Flame…click here. She always has the words that remind me how good it feels to tune in, listen, and follow my intuition. Ahhh, it feels so freeing to let our hearts and souls be our guides.

Make a Commitment

Practice consciously making your joy, your wellness, yourself the priority. Write it down. Schedule it in your calendar. Make feeling good, living at ease, and simplifying your life matter the most to you…and observe how your life transforms before your very eyes.

When we give ourselves permission to feel good and commit to choosing joy, we choose a path of less resistance and more fun. We allow ourselves to be the happy, appreciative, kind people we imagine we can be…and we free ourselves to live the life of our dreams.

Choose something, anything, everything. Just make a move. And go easy on yourself. If you lose track, remember that you are human. And start again.

Everything is progress.

The more love we give ourselves, the more love we have to share, the more wonder~full our lives will be.

Go on, start this fall with a fresh commitment to feelin’ free, fun, and in the flow.

Take action now by sharing in the comments what you will do to make this your most joy~full and fun fall yet…

Here’s to Fallin’ into Joy,

Denise
