Sometimes unexpected things happen.

We get thrown for a loop.

We feel completely turned upside down, like nothing makes any sense any more.

We stumble through the shambles of what we thought was real.

And grasp for meaning at nothingness.

Trudging along in the dark, we do our best.

We keep putting one foot in front of the other, hoping that something will make sense again.

We look inside ourselves for answers, hoping for guidance.

We reach out to friends, asking for help.

We open our hearts to possibility, seeking faith and trust.

And still we stumble.

Our experience is more complicated than our minds can really even fathom.

Somehow we got to this point, and it can be hard to see the path from here to where we want to be.

Everything feels so damn fucked up.

Like there’s no solution.

No possible way to make it better.

And yet, even in the midst of this chaos, there are moments of grace.

Moments of connection as we look into the eyes of a friend who understands.

Moments of tenderness as we hold our child close to our hearts, still for a breath in love.

Moments of possibility when we realize that everything can change with our perspective.

Moments of freedom when we begin to know that everything already is all right.

I know that life may not always feel totally happy and carefree and easy.

I know that we may struggle and face grief and try to understand loss and sadness.

I know that life is messy and complicated and can sometimes feel like too damn much.

But the thing is, I know that this is not everything.

I know that there is a foundation of joy that resides within each of us…even underneath such suffering.

I know that there is pure love enveloping us…even when we feel completely alone.

I know that there is a solution to every challenge…even when we may not be able to see it from where we are standing.

I know that we can find our way.

Together.

Hand in hand and side by side.

We are stronger than we may realize.

We are more brave than we know.

We are more loved than words can express.

So even when life is messy and complicated and just too much, hold on, my friend.

To trust.

To fatih.

To love.

Because we are in this together.

You are never alone.

You are love.
