“The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection.”

~Thomas Paine

Happy summer, gorgeous soul!

As I sit here admiring the blue skies and leaves dancing in the soft summer breeze, I am at once grateful for the warm {and often hot So Cal} days of the season and also excited for the cooler quieter days that await us in the fall.

Perhaps because fall is the season to enjoy the vibrant abundance of summer and prepare for the introspective quality of winter, it’s an ideal time to give thanks, reflect, clarify and create a path toward ever becoming more of who we are.

As Tony Robbins, Mastin Kipp, and countless other self development experts remind us:

“Either we are growing or we are dying.”

We are on the path of unfolding and blossoming into the best versions of ourselves, or we are carelessly moving along waiting and withering.

Maybe it’s because I’m an Aries, or because I’m the baby of my family {also an only child…more on that story another time}, or because I’m the daughter of an incredibly determined and powerful mama, one thing is clear: I am always excited to learn, grow and progress.

At once, I have a sincere conviction for every belief and value I hold dear and a compelling desire to constantly develop my understanding of life. This conviction and curiosity inspires my passions: for learning, inquiring, transforming and exploring possibility. My enthusiasm for being my best self is part of what makes me an engaging teacher, and also a challenging person with whom to debate {if you know me personally, I’m sure you’ll agree!}.

The point is, I always want to grow. One of the most indelible Mama-isms I remember from childhood is: Learn something new every day of your life. And she is absolutely right. If we want to thrive and evolve and fulfill our most vibrant possibilities, then learning, seeking, and expanding our consciousness is essential.

But, how exactly does one expand her consciousness?

Start with this: Be curious. Be open. Be brave. Journey within. Start reflecting on who you are, why you are here, and how you can be of service in this life. Tune in to your heart space, listen to your intuition and feel the wisdom emanating from within. And then, act according to what you learn. As you listen to your heart’s desires, choose to align your thoughts, words, and deeds with what you value most.

Yes, forging ahead into unknown territory will be daunting. Have faith, you’re not alone. Doing something out of our comfort zone can feel tremulous, but when we have conviction about our purpose, our value and our ability to do good in the world, fear cannot stop us. Instead, our fear propels us to move forward into uncertainty, knowing that the only thing we can count on is change. Full of pure potentiality, as Deepak Chopra teaches, we connect with the good of the universe and expand beyond our wildest imaginings.

So, dear friend, into what possibility will you evolve during this season?

Ask yourself:

What do I love about myself and my life right now?

What do I want to transform in the coming months?

What do I need to do to evolve from here to there?

What can I appreciate right now to boost my happiness on this journey?

Now, take some time to listen. Honor your own wisdom. Hear the call of your heart. Dive in to the pure potentiality of being you: authentic, happy and fulfilled.

I’m here for you and I believe in you…please let me know how I can be of support. If you have any questions, comments, or feedback, then share your insights. I so appreciate the opportunity to connect and learn with you.

Sending so much Love to you on this journey!

Here’s to Blossoming Beautifully,

Denise
