“Gratitude is the foundation of happiness.”

~D. D.

Greetings Love,

Hoping these words encourage you to celebrate thanksgiving not only tomorrow, but every day of this precious life.

Practicing gratitude is the easiest and most effective way to open our hearts, feel abundant, and live happy.

Wishing you boundless joy and all the love your heart can hold…

Giving thanks is not just for one day a year.

We must infuse our lives with gratitude

Awaken each day with thanks that we are gifted with another chance to be our best selves.

Move through our days with gratitude in our hearts and abundance to share this love with everyone we meet.

Immerse ourselves in thanks each night before we sleep to remember this gift of life we’re so blessed to enjoy.

When we create a lifestyle of gratitude, then we begin to see the good in the midst of the chaos.

The glass is always half full.

We can always choose how we respond to our experience.

When we look at our lives through a lens of gratitude, we see the opportunity to learn and grow every day.

Seek joy and that is what we will discover…

Let me share my gratitude:

I give thanks for challenge that I may learn to seek solutions.

I give thanks for hardship that I may grow stronger.

I give thanks for dis~ease that I may more fully understand the miracle of wellness.

I give thanks for sometimes losing my cool that I may know more clearly the kind of woman I want to be.

I give thanks for feeling jealous that I may see what it is I truly desire.

I give thanks for feeling alone that I may remember how powerful it feels to be connected.

I give thanks for uncertainty that I may tune in and listen to my intuition.

I give thanks for sadness that I may feel it deeply and discover the joy waiting on the other side.

I give thanks for anger that I may reveal the fear and vulnerability wanting to be acknowledged.

I give thanks for fears that I may grow more courageous as I face them and move forward anyway.

I give thanks for wanting that I may enjoy that gorgeous feeling of anticipation.

I give thanks for the dark of night that I may awaken each day to a new sunrise.

Gratitude is the foundation of happiness.

And I believe that the more we practice gratitude {yes, it takes practice to cultivate a grateful perspective}, the more we experience that overflowing of joy and love from our hearts into our lives.

So let me ask, for what do you give thanks?

Think deeply. Feel from your heart. Tune in. Listen.

Of course, we give thanks for the amazing people in our lives: our mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters, friends and relatives.

And for the beauty of nature, for the sweet creatures that we call pets, for the bounty of fresh food and water.

For the luxury of transportation, technology, and travel.

For the help of western medicine in times of trauma and sickness, for the wisdom of eastern medicine to heal the whole person.

For the gift of meditation, for the joy of movement.

For the connection of hugs and the power of touch.

For the pure truth of a smile.

For the perfection of a moment shared with the one you love the most.

For the chance to be present for the people who love you,

For the sacred stillness of surrender.

For the chance to BE.

What gratitude in your heart is waiting to be expressed?

How can you start to cultivate a lifestyle of gratitude?

Reflect on which challenges in your life evoke your gratitude…what has helped you grow into YOU?

Here’s are four sure fire ways to inspire your grateful perspective:

1. Begin a gratitude journal

  • keep it simple

  • write just 3 things each day

  • remember you can be grateful for ANY thing, experience, person, feeling, etc.

 2. Make gratitude a family affair

  • make it fun and involve your whole fam

  • decide when to practice: at each meal, once a day, once a week, etc.

  • take turns expressing gratitude, sometimes you may feel inspired to share multiple times

 3. Express your gratitude to others

  • communicate your thanks as often as possible

  • share your gratitude verbally in the moment {at the store, with your partner, to your child, for a colleague, etc.}

  • send a written note of thanks to remind others of what they mean to you, or about how much you appreciate something they did

 4. Give of yourself

  • volunteer and give your time

  • discover how much you have in your life that you may have been overlooking

  • open your heart to give and experience the gratitude that comes from being of service

And, remember, always to give thanks for you

For the love you give, for the joy you share, for the good you do, for the gorgeous light you shine.

I give thanks for you.

The light within me humbly bows and honors the light within you.

Namaste.

And Happy Thanksgiving, beautiful.

Gratitude, Grace, and so much LOVE,

Denise
