BloomsAs I walked outside my home today to water our budding seeds in the garden, I felt at once awed and inspired by the inherent brilliance of nature.

How incredible that LIFE is held safely inside a tiny seed, waiting patiently for the right light, water and soil to help it blossom and fulfill its innate potential.

How wondrous to observe the burgeoning of tiny buds, the unfolding of delicate petals and leaves, the radiating of beauty and symmetry toward the gorgeous energy of the sun.

How perfect it is just to be alive.

As I basked in the warming rays of light, mesmerized by the sacred expansion of life, I realized that we, too, are part of this brilliance.

We are born into our bodies, our families, our communities, our lives and day by day we choose our path toward the present.

Our direction is guided by our desires and our decisions.

Some of us choose to be carried by the wind to faraway lands to create a home away from home, bravely expanding our experience to reveal life anew.

Some of us choose to root ourselves ever more firmly into the soil of our childhood, growing deeper into the lives we know and love.

I realize now that both choices are wonder-full.

No matter where we choose to be and live and grow, when we choose to allow ourselves happiness, delight, joy and wonder, then we are perfectly planted wherever we are right now.

Sometimes I am captivated by the truth that I am nurturing my own daughters in the same home where I happily grew as a child.

Sometimes I wonder how I ended up rooted so firmly in the place of my birth.

And then I realize that my choices have guided me to be exactly where I am…thriving in the close connection to family and friends and community whose love and energy I value most in my life.

I see the gift in growing deep roots. I know the value in my experience.

I also see the gift in replanting in new soil. I know the value in experiencing life from a fresh point of view.

There is infinite possibility in how and where we choose to live and grow.

Our intention is always the same: to be happy.

The secret to being happy is to be like the seed and bloom where you’re planted.

Allow your roots to ground into the earth right where you are.

Expand your heart toward the light shining just for you.

Open to becoming ever more yourself.

And just be.

Happy.

Wishing you love, light, and beautiful blooms,

Denise
